May’s Employee Spotlight – Corbin Vickery

May’s employee spotlight is Corbin Vickery. Corbin is our GPS Technician in the Western Idaho area and has been with Vantage-Northwest two years. Here is your opportunity to get to know Corbin a little better!

What motivates you to wake up and go to work? I enjoy seeing end results on a project that I’ve been a part of. I also enjoy working with and learning about new equipment and technology.

What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this? I’m studying Electrical Engineering through BSU. Electronics and embedded systems are really interesting to me, so probably something in that field.

What are you passionate about? Fried cheese curds! But a serious answer; I really like tinkering on electronic projects. I’ve had several projects over the years. My favorites have been modifying my kids power-wheels and helping classmates build an autonomous lawn mower.

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Married an extrovert and had kids while in college.

What are your favorite indoor/outdoor activities? I like seasonal powersports. During the summer, I like jet skiing and wake boarding but snowmobiling is probably my overall favorite activity. I have a Ski-Doo 800 sled I’ve rebuilt and have been  riding/working on for a few years.
